1940s Women's Military Boots - Black - Robbie

I am happy with these boots. I bought them to replace a modern-style boot which was cute but not very comfortable. The leather is soft and appears to be of very good quality. The boot is a nice style that is good for casual everyday wear. It seems to be waterproof as I've stepped into puddles without water getting in. It is comfortable to walk in. There is lots of room around the toes and it does not rub as so many do. I would have liked to review it after walking a longer distance in it, but I do feel it will continue to be comfortable even then. You do feel the heel, but it's not high so it's not much. You have to loosen and tighten the laces to remove and put them on. There is not a deep tread on the soles. Although the description says it runs small, I feel it runs large. I would have liked to try a size down. But it's good if I want to wear it with thick socks. Overall I am happy with this purchase and hope they last a long time.

I’ve been trying to find a shoe that fits both my aesthetic and my awkwardly shaped feet. So far I’ve purchased/tried around 2,000$ worth of shoes from high-end brands that are crushingly uncomfortable and do not fit the high arches of my foot. So to say my hopes and expectations for these were non existent. First impressions were cute and soft, but when I put them on for the first time I noticed you slightly feel the stitching in the heal, already disappointed but once you lace them up and walk around they are perfect and so comfortable you don’t even notice the stitching not to mention the perfect witchy vibe I’m going for, I’ll be purchasing more from this brand. 10/10. I’ll need a notification if these ever become discontinued so I can purchase the lot!

Super impressed with how these are handling deep snow! The leather is soft and buttery but durable enough not to get scratched by small ice flakes, and I’ve had no wet feet since buying these. They outperform my waterproof sperry boots by miles! Absolutely worth every penny and then some.

I've been looking for a decent pair of vintage-style boots for awhile now, and I feel it was very fortuitous to have discovered these ones! I like how much more gender-neutral these ones are compared to others I've looked at in the past (for the record, finding mens vintage-style boots and shoes in my size is downright impossible) and though I was initially worried about the boots being a tad too narrow for my feet, wearing them in some has fixed that problem entirely. They make me feel very confident while wearing them, and I'm hoping to have them in my life for decades to come :)

These boots are my favorite! I love the way the leather feels and the way they look on my feet. They're nice & sturdy *and* fashionable. :)

If you wear a half size, you'll probably want to go up rather than down. Sz 6 squished my feet, but sz 7 fit nicely, though it's a little loose at the ankle. I don't think it takes away from the boots at all, I would just prefer them to be a little tighter.
Of course, it makes sense that they don't carry 1/2 sizes as that would be a lot more shoes Memery would have to produce. That said, I might give only four stars, but the process of returning the too small boots for ones that fit was so easy and simple, I couldn't NOT give 5 stars. 😁

This is my first purchase from Memery and am absolutely delighted with these boots. I waffled forever because of the price, I’m a half size, and because I have orthopedic issues that make shoe buying painful and disappointing even on the best days. But I don’t regret this purchase one bit and I look forward to breaking them in completely.

I used to buy the cute Merona boots from Target, which were reminiscent of this style, but they stopped making those almost ten years ago. Found these online after getting nostalgic for a pair and searching for similar looks.

But that’s where the similarities end. This is a definite step up in comfort, ecological impact, and (from what I can tell thus far) quality compared to the pleather products I used to buy. From the moment I put them on, I was blown away by how comfortable they felt… like they were made for my feet. I have plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendon injury yet didn’t feel like my insert was necessary (but that may differ for others so definitely size up if you need one).

Yes, the price is steep but the quality and the comfort is worth it. Measure yourself carefully and all should be good. If not, they seem to have generous return policy so long as you don’t wear them outside the home or get them scuffed/dirty.

I love how comfortable they are right out of the box. The soft leather doesn't really require breaking in which was great.

These boots are a history-bounder's dream! I wear them almost everyday and they are perhaps THE most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Another reviewer said they fit like a warm hug and I couldn't agree more. Plus they are so gorgeous (I've already gotten compliments!). I pair them with both wide leg trousers and A line skirts for a vaguely historical farmgirl look. The only thing I can think of that bothers me is that there's no size 11.5 so I had to size up slightly to 12. But of course, that's the case almost anywhere I buy shoes!

These are the most comfortable shoes I've every owned! They look good, feel good, and I love wearing them. They're more comfortable than my gym shoes. They're impeccably made and the leather is so soft right out of the box. I'm obsessed!
