I ordered the wrong size originally. I was between sizes for my Ruth boots and foolishly assumed the sizing would be the same. The back of these oxfords hit at the boniest part of my heel and gave me blisters. Plan to return, unfortunately.

These were my (cough, cough) seventh pair of Memery shoes. I'd longed for them since Mette introduced them...I finally gave in and am SO glad. They're not too tight through the toe box and fit my heel better than some of my other pairs, which do slip and slide on my heel. Though Edwardian, I think they'll be perfect for my 30's-40's closet. And, though a low (comfortable!) heel, they're still classy enough for some smart ensemble on a Sunday morning, as well as for every day errands.

Just perfect for me! Not too high but still elegant. The perfect match with my walking skirts!

Writing a review now after having them for more than half a year. They have broken in well, and are reasonably comfortable.
The one thing I would say is to definitely make sure to check the sizing chart. When it said in the size guide to buy the size you normally would that's what I did and the shoes are too big. It was entirely my bad not checking the actual measurements on the size chart, but I'm just saying it so that other people know. I'm sure they are more comfortable if they fit correctly, and if/when this pair wears out I will likely buy another a size down. As it is they do dig into my heel if I don't wear thick socks.
The other thing about these shoes is the heel will wear down fairly quickly if you don't get taps put in (or at least that was my experience). I got taps put into the heels and thin replaceable soles on the main underside of the shoe to make them last longer after wearing them a few times and seeing visible wear.
4 stairs mainly because if I hadn't gotten taps put into the heel I think they would have worn down pretty quickly, and that was an extra expense, but overall great shoes. :)

My third pair of Memery shoes but these are being worn for work, but they are too nice for work i hear you say.....they are also incredibly comfortable from day one, look very smart and the slight heel height on Florence is just what i needed as i cannot wear totally flat shoes. Maybe just a tad too narrow for me but i think that is down to the socks i am wearing and not the shoe. Delivery on Mette's side excellent and prompt just a let down on my side of the pond with Royal Mail, which sadly is a regular occurance here now. Many thanks Mette for your help, advice and of course gorgeous shoes.

The fit ist very good

The shoes are beautiful and comfortable. Once it's warmer and doesn't rain so much I'm sure they'll be the perfect choice for work. After I had to return the first pair because they were a little too small - the return process was fast and well organised - the new (one EU size larger) pair fits well, with a little help from a shoe sizing aid pad.

Absolutely beautiful shoes that make me feel so confident when I wear them. Worn them with beautiful vintage outfits to really tie together the whole look, and have worn them to work to add a bit of vintage to my office wear.
Very comfortable and within one or two wears had moulded beautifully to my feet. Was concerned about how narrow they were going as I have slightly wide feet, but have found the standard fit is very comfortable and fits well.
Have already gone and bought myself another pair of memery shoes, as I love these so much.

These shoes are gorgeous. Beautifully crafted from lovely material. Sadly they run a little small and narrow, so back they go.
